(NMB) The 2022/2023 MSU Northern Skylight basketball schedule has been released. the Skylights will open the season on October 28th at home versus The Kings University. This seasons schedule includes plenty of home games which Head Coach Chris Mouat says will be great for his young team. “I think the fact that we have a lot of home games is really important early in the year and so, we really worked hard to try to get home games. I think it will be good for our kids to get their feet under them a little bit and kind of grow together.”
This Season will also see the return of the field trip game, scheduled for December 8th, it’s a chance for local school kids to take a field trip to the Armory Gym to watch a game. “Last time we did it, it was a ton of fun and the gym was a mad house. I thought it was a really good experience for our players. We played in one of those in Bozeman and Missoula in front of a ton of people and so to do it on a smaller scale here, but at the same time we had that atmosphere and I thought that was great.”
The Skylights will also travel to Phoenix right before Christmas where they will face a couple of top 15 teams. The Regular season will end February 16th with a home game against Montana Tech.
