Hill County Commission Seeks Public Comment on Resolutions

The Hill County commission met Thursday morning for their weekly business meeting to discuss and approve several agenda items.

The Commission approved a motion to verify the procedure for scheduling a public comment meeting in a timely fashion to discuss putting a 3% excise tax on marijuana on the November ballot for voters. September 13th and October 4th in the Timmons room was decided as the place and time.

Resolution No. 22-2699 was discussed, and a motion approved to disclose line items in which disbursement of monies into several Hill County departments from ARPA funds would be used.

The commission also approved an appointment of Angie Peck to replace Sarah Brown with the Box Elder Water and Sewer District.

During the claim period of the meeting one item was a $10k settlement claim to Lodestar.
