Motorcycle Fatality in Lake County

On August 7th a resident of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin was killed in a single vehicle accident involving a collision with a bear, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

The 66 year old make was operating his Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound around 937AM near Salmon Prairie on Montana Highway 83 near mile marker 53 when a bear entered the road from the eastbound shoulder and was unavoidable. The driver, who was not wearing a helmet. was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries on the scene.

The road was clear and dry. Speed and drugs or alcohol are not suspected factors.
