Big Sandy Storm Water Project

A major project has recently been completed in Big Sandy. Previously Big Sandy had a significant storm water drainage issue, but Bear Paw Development was able to fund the project with little to no cost to taxpayers.

Julea Robbins the Director of community Development at Bear Paw Development explains the project.

“One of our biggest projects that just got finished, we got to be the grant managers on the Big Sandy Storm Water Project. That was an incredible project, about three million dollars, most of it was grant funded. The town had to put very little money into that project.”-Julea Robbins

She continues to explain why the project was needed.

“Every time the town of Big Sandy saw a drop of water it flooded the streets and flooded businesses. It was a problem for many years, and now they have wonderful storm water drainage, and the businesses from what I’ve heard are incredibly happy because they don’t have to continually spend money on fixing water damage which is really cool. So that was one of our recent projects that we’re very proud of and very happy for the town of Big Sandy.” -Julea Robbins
