(Helena) – Governor Greg Gianforte recently signed House Bill 18 into law. The bill was sponsored by Representative Tyson Running Wolf a Democrat from Browning.
House Bill 18 establishes a grant program through the Department of Justice for Missing Persons Response Teams throughout the state. In the bill text it defines the purpose of the grant program to help fund training opportunities for community based missing persons response teams.
$61,000 was authorized by the legislature for this grant program and it will begin on July 1st, 2023.
