(NMB) It won’t be long and the High School Football season will be here. The Havre Blue Ponies are in the middle of their summer workouts getting ready for the upcoming season and Head Coach Jake Eldridge told New Media Broadcasters it’s been a effective summer so far.
“It’s been a great summer so far. We just had a conversation in the weight room saying, hey, after this week we only have three weeks of our summer program left. So, the summer has kind of flown by. It’s been really busy, but we’ve been really effective both in the weight room and out on the field.”-Eldridge
Havre hosted their own team camp in early June, traveled to the Montana Tech Team Camp the middle of June where they competed very well. Coach Eldridge says his team has worked hard in the weight room and on the field so far this summer.”
“We’re kind of just hitting our stride here in the month of July and before you know it we’re going to be knocking on the door of fall camp. Kids have been working really, really hard and we’ve had a great group of kids in the weight room and out on the field doing some running and things like that and a little bit of X’s and O’s as far as throwing the ball around and stuff. It’s been great man. Just looking forward to fall camp when it gets here.”-Eldridge
Eldridge and the Blue Ponies will hold their Little Pony Football camp July 17th and 18th for kids in grade 1 through 8 and Havre will open up their 2023 season at home on August 25th at Blue Pony Stadium when they host the Hardin Bulldogs.
