Danielle Golie Is New United Way Director

(Havre) – Havre resident Danielle Golie has taken the position of executive director for the United Way organization. Golie talks about where she comes from, her history, and her passion.

I was born in Arizona, but I came up to Havre and the Hi-Line when I was very young. I lived between Havre and Chinook. Graduated High School in Chinook but did a lot of schooling in Havre. Our family did have a short stint living in Denver so I could study traditional Chinese medicine and then I quickly realized that I wanted to be on the prevention aspect and moved into public health and became the public health director and I was there for a good, I believe seven years. But I’m very passionate about prevention, really impacting families and children. So, they truly have the best start. So, they’re ready for school so they can become productive humans in our society. Having good healthy leader. But it really starts with that mind, body, spirit prevention.”-Golie

Goalie says she is excited to begin work as director.
