(Billings) – The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Montana announced that the Department’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) awarded more than $4.7 million to Montana to bolster coordinated community responses aimed at bringing an end to domestic violence.
some of the grants awarded include $340,618 under State and Territory Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program which will go to the Montana Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. $2.93 million was awarded under the Rural Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking Assistance Program (Rural Program). The awards will go to Supporters of Abuse Free Environments, $743,863; Friendship Center of Helena, $748,539; St. Peter’s Health Foundation, $700,000; and Hi-Line’s Help for Abused Spouses, $743,233.
