(Havre) This weekend, the Bear Paw Marathon saw registrants from across the county and Canada come to Havre to run to the finish line at MSU Northerns Cowan Hall.
The race this year featured three lengths, a full marathon length of 26 miles, a half marathon length of 13, and 5 kilometer “fun run”.
The first finisher of the full-length marathon this year was Gilbert Johnson who New Media Broadcasters talked to at the finish line.
“I woke up at 3:30, got ready, drank two cups of coffee, drank a protein drink and some beets”
Runners of the full-length marathon began their quest at 6:00 AM, Johnson finished around 9:30am.
