(Phillips County) US Senator for Montana Steve Daines recognized a Phillips County resident as this month’s “Man of the Month”.
James Fauth, who’s a retired lineman from Malta, was honored by Daines for his record-breaking chinook-salmon catch from Fort Peck lake, weighing just under 33 pounds and measuring 38 inches in length with a 28 inch girth.
Fauth reportedly caught the fish with a 29-dollar fishing rod.
The statement of recognition has been submitted into the Congressional Record, which is the document that reflects the official proceedings of congress.
