(Hill County) On October 1st, there was a high speed chase by law enforcement following an individual in a stolen vehicle.
The initial pursuit was initiated by Havre PD but was later turned over to the Hill County Sheriffs Department once the perpetrator escaped onto Highway 87 going south-bound.
The driver was eventually caught after the deployment of spike strips, and then apprehended once the vehicle came to a stop. A 19 year old female passenger was also found in the vehicle, but she was released at the scene once deputies learned she did not participate in any crimes.
