Blood Donation Opportunity in Chinook on Tuesday

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The American Red Cross will be at Wallner Hall on Tuesday, May 7th from 12:30 to 6 PM to collect blood from donors. A press release says that their goal is 40 viable pints, but they have 58 slots to fill. All eligible donors are encouraged to donate.

Currently, the Red Cross has a critical need for type O blood donations.

Any healthy adult, or 16 and 17-year olds with signed parental consent, and weighing at least 110 pounds is eligible and encouraged to donate blood. Valid ID is required for all donations.

Parental consents for those 16 or 17 can be picked at the high school office or at the registration table at Wallner Hall on the day of the drive.

You can schedule an appointment on their website or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. Walk-ins are always welcome. Those with appointments can save up to 15 minutes by completing the health history online the day of the drive by visiting redcorssblood.org/rapidpass.
