HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Last weekend, the Hill County Community Foundation held their 2nd Annual Spring for the Arts event and they raised money to support their grants and grow their endowment. Foundation Chair Pam Veis says they had about 120 people attend their event at Havre’s Historic Post Office.
“We raised about, just over $13,000 and after event expenses are paid, approximately half of that will be distributed back to Hill County Communities this fall during our annual fall grant cycle. And then, also a percentage of those proceeds may be deposited in the permanent endowment fund.”
Veis says the purpose of their annual fundraiser was to host an elegant event for people to look forward to and to increase the visibility of this permanent endowment.
“Since we know that the proceeds from our annual event won’t be enough to substantially increase the endowment amount, we hope that local Hill County residents and philanthropists who are looking to leave a legacy in our county would consider making a substantial donation to the Hill County Community Foundation endowment.”
The Hill County Community Foundation helps provide grant funding for projects that fall into one of their three focus areas: basic human needs, arts and culture, and community beautification.
