Clack Museum Will Host Afternoon Tea Fundraiser Saturday

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – This Saturday, the H. Earle Clack Museum will be hosting their 4th annual Afternoon Tea fundraiser at the Best Western Plus – Havre Inn & Suites. One of the events organizers, Karen Vosen says the doors open at 1 and the event starts at 1:30 PM. Their goal is to raise $5,000 to help with repairs at the museums new building downtown.

“First course is scones and then the second course is a salad with tea sandwiches and the third course is dainties served with a lot of tea. And we have some entertainment. Rachel Dean is heading up some entertainment for the afternoon.”

Vosen says that this year’s theme is family legacies.

“We’re trying to encourage grandmothers, mothers, and granddaughters that are over age 8 to attend. Just try and carry on some of the legacy of Havre. Or it doesn’t even have to be of Havre. It can be your own family legacy from some other place and that, is what we’re trying to promote this year.”

Vosen says the tickets must be purchased at the Havre Chamber of Commerce or by calling her at 262-2561 before the event for a minimum donation of $25.
