Chinook Schools Pass 2 General Fund Levies

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Chinook Public Schools held a school board election Tuesday and passed two general fund levies.

The first one was for the elementary school. The levy will increase taxes on a $100,000 home by about $8.32 and on a $200,000 by about $16.63. It passed 222 votes to 109.

The high school general fund levy will increase taxes on a $100,000 home by $2.01 and on a $200,000 by $4.02. This levy passed 272 to 138.
