(MDT) Reports from eye witnesses, the National Weather Service, and Montana Department of Transportation told of some roads nearing flood conditions earlier this week with some flooded completely.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Rob Gregory, Havre Area Maintenance Superintendent to ask about road conditions.
“There was water over the road about 14 miles west of Big Sandy, and that has receded. It was the fast melt from our previous cold snap we experienced. Currently we have one just south of the junction of US-2 and Montana 66 at Fort Belknap, we’ve got what we think is a frozen culvert”
US-87 was reported as having flooding conditions but Gregory says that it never went over the road during that time frame.
