LEWISTOWN, Mont. (NMB) – The draft resource management plan and draft environmental impact statement for the Lewistown Field Office and potions of the Butte Field Office are now available for review and comment. According to a press release, the draft documents and supporting information can be viewed on Bureau of Land Management’s ePlanning website.
The official comment period runs through August 15th. The BLM is in the process of preparing a resource management plan and associated environmental impact statement to guide the management of over 650,000 acres of federally management surface and nearly 1.2 million acres of BLM-managed federal mineral estate in central Montana.
The planning area includes all or portions of Fergus, Petroleum, Judith Basin, Chouteau, Meagher, Cascade, Teton, Pondera, and Lewis and Clark counties.
