HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Thursday, two representatives from the Montana Department of Commerce came to Havre to launch the Taste Our Place program, which supports businesses that use locally grown food products. Executive Director for the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce Jody Olson says they visited a few of these sites, starting at High Horizons Gardens hydroponics.
“The gals that were here went to Infinity Bakery. They know they use a lot of local products. And we went to Crawford Distillery. They’re in the program, Taste Our Place, cause, of course, they use local grains. And then we went to Andy’s and she served us some local lettuces and she gave us a steak from Bear Paw Meats.”
Olson says that businesses that believe they may qualify for the program can contact the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce at 265-4383 for more information.
