Regenerative Agriculture Field Day Highlights Resilient Farming Practices in Havre

HAVRE, Mont. — A Regenerative Agriculture Field Day is set for tomorrow at Prairie Grass Ranch in Havre.

Hosted by MAD Agriculture, Timeless Seeds, and the Montana Organic Association, the event runs from 9:30 to 1:30 and features grazing tours, soil demonstrations, and hands-on discussions with farmers and ag experts.

Clark Harshbarger, Director of Stewardship with MAD Agriculture, says north central Montana is the ideal setting:

“I think it’s important because farmers and ranchers are always looking for new opportunities to build resilience into their farmland and business, and the Manuels have been able to explore different types of cropping systems that have allowed them to become resilient and to pass on their farm to the next generation. So, I think that’s a critical conversation; that can family farms exist in the future on the American Great Plains, and this family is showing a way forward that’s working for them. So, I think that’s really exciting.”

RSVP details are available on MAD Agriculture’s website.
