HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Department of Public Health and Human Service will honor Montana Emergency Medical Services personnel from Lewistown, Whitehall, Miles City, and Billings during an awards ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda on Thursday.
A press release says that representatives from Central Montana Medical Center Ambulance in Lewistown, Jefferson Valley EMS in Whitehall, Miles City Fire Rescue, and Billings EMS will be honored by First Lady Lisa Bullock.
The event is part of National Emergency Medical Service Week held May 19th through the 25th.
Among the recipients is the Central Montana Medical Center Ambulance out of Lewistown. They won the EMS Service of the Year Award, which exhibits dedication to improving patient care through education, injury prevention, community awareness, medical director involvement, and collaboration with surrounding EMS services.
CMMC Ambulance serves a large geographic area including Fergus, Petroleum, and Judith Basin counties and has aggressively increased staffing to provide advanced life support services. They have forged relationships with surrounding services to provide education and support.
