Havre) – The City of Havre Fire Department is holding their annual Everyone Love Firefighters or ELF Food Drive for the Havre Food Bank on Wednesday November 5th. Kiera Patera, the Food Bank manager for HRDC explains how the ELF drive works.
“What they do is they bring out their trucks and the ambulances; they’ll have their lights flashing to pick up food from around the Havre community. They’ll be picking up from 5:30 to 8:30. To donate, just put a bag of nonperishable food on your sidewalk or your front porch with the light so, so that they know to stop and pick up your donation.”
The ELF food drive is one of the biggest drives to stock the Havre Food Bank’s Shelves. If you cannot donate Wednesday Night, your donations can be takeen to HRDC or the Havre Food Bank at a later date.
