Donations & Public Engagement Event Discussed at Park Board Meeting

(Havre) – The Hill County Park Board met for their November meeting on Monday November 3rd. Beaver Creek Park Superintendent Chad Edgar let the board know that between actual donations and pledged donations Close to $650,000 has been raised for the new lodge at Camp Kiwanis in Beaver Creek Park.

January 13th, 2026 has been selected as the date for the Hill County Park Board and Friends of Beaver Creek Park to host a public engagement event. More details will come at a later date.

The board adopted rental rates for the lower portion of Camp Kiwanis in 2026. Rental for Monday Through Thursday will be $1,000 and rental Friday through Sunday will be $1,500. If renters would like to add extra days on either side of their rental if available, it will be at a cost of $300 per day.

The final business item brought before the park board was the start or recommended changes from the Ad Hoc Grazing policies and procedures for Beaver Creek Park. This was an informational item for the board members and no action has been taken.

The next meeting of the Hill County Park Board will be on Monday December 1st, 5:30pm at the Timmons Room inside the Hill County Courthouse.
