Pedestrian Struck in Havre Flown to Great Falls

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Shortly after 10 PM Saturday night, a woman hit a pedestrian at the intersection of 4th Avenue and 1st Street in Havre.

Assistant Police Chief Jason Barkus says Margaret Bear has been charged with six counts, including negligent vehicular assault, failure to stop at an accident, failure to carry proof of insurance, DUI and an open container violation. As of Tuesday morning, Bear was being held at the Hill County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.

Barkus says the injured man was flown to Great Falls with possible head injuries. There has been no update on his condition.
