Havre, MT – New Chinook Sugarbeeter girls basketball coach Jill Barta is a former Montana high school girls basketball Gatorade player of the year and has now officially completed her first offseason as head coach.
Barta told new media Broadcasters there wasn’t a lot that she found difficult in her new role.
“Thank god I haven’t found much to be hard, but you know I think it’s going to come down to focusing on what my goals are for the girls and tuning everyone else out.”
Barta and her Sugarbeeters officially start this week and Barta will coach her first game in Shelby on December 12 at a tournament. Barta’s first home game will be December 18, against Rocky Boy.
