Lights Shooting Woes Hinder Road Performance

Havre, MT – The MSU-Northern Lights struggle to shoot the ball in a pair of close losses at Montana Western (77-70) and at Montana Tech (68-58).

Head Coach of the Lights Shown Huse, gave credit to the defense but knows his team made some mistakes.

“we’re going to make some mistakes in games, but nothing glaring other than the ball didn’t go in the basket. You got to give credit, you know Tech’s got the number one defense in the conference, holding teams down with their length and their size and Western is much of the same. We had our chances and just could not convert. The ball didn’t want to go in the way it normally does for us and if we’re even close to our normal percentage I think we’re talking differently today, but you know that’s basketball.” Coach Huse Said.

The Lights shot 44% from the field in a hard loss at Montana Western before Tech held Northern to shoot just 33% from the field.
