Havre, Mt – Friday and Saturday the Chinook Sugarbeeter boys’ basketball teams battled Conrad on the road and Choteau at home. Coach Bill Bell’s team came away with win over Conrad 43-39 but fell at home to Choteau 55-33.
In the second quarter against Conrad Sugarbeeter junior guard, and leading scorer, Ryan Bell left game the game with an injury. Coach Bell thought his team rallied well against Conrad to win but could not sustain their excellent play against Choteau.
“I thought the team rallied and stepped up and come together and played as a team against Conrad when we lost Ryan. In the second half against Choteau I think that same team fell apart and were out of source.”
The sugarbeeters will be at Rocky boy on Friday night. The girls will start at 6p.m. and the boys will tip at 7:30p.m.
On Saturday Chinook will return home to play Shelby at 4 and 5:30p.m.
