Havre, MT – After ending the regular season with a win over Sidney on senior night 67-42, the Havre High Blue Pony boy’s basketball program earned the right to Host Sidney again, but this time a play in game to the divisional tournament Tuesday night.
Head coach of the Ponies Walynn Burgess spoke to his team’s effort in the win on senior night.
“You know just your intensity, their focus on what they needed to do and I thought all night long they had really good focus for what was at stake.” Coach Burgess said.
In a two-day turnaround Coach Burgess knows his team has to come ready for a fight on Tuesday against Sidney once again.
“Yeah, quick turnaround playing the same team again. It’s what on of those ones to focus on the things that we can control. Know that it’s one game basketball, and enjoy the moments while your here but also focus in on the little things that can help carry us to a win.”
