Three Lights Honored with Conference Awards

Helena, MT – Prior to the Frontier Conference Tournament, the All-Conference teams and awards were announced. MSU-Northern’s Luke Holecek received Co-6th Man of the Year award while Leon Sayers IV and Austin Romas make all-conference teams.

Luke Holecek, the 6’4″ junior transfer for the Lights was one of five players averaging double digit points with 11.8 points per game off the bench along with three rebounds. In under 25 minutes on the hardwood per night Holecek shot an outstanding 51.2% from the field.

Austin Ramos was selected to the All-Conference second team. The junior for the Lights from Idaho put up strong numbers as the biggest three point threat shooting nearly 42% from deep. Ramos averaged 14.3 points per game to lead the Lights while also being a top rebounder from the guard position averaging five boards a game.

Lastly the Lights All-Conference First Team selection, Leon Sayers IV was a quiet leader for the Lights all season long. Sayers was a honorable mention as a junior in the 2024-25 season for the Lights. The senior averaged 13.3 points and just under five rebounds per game. In the Lights three Frontier Conference tournament games Sayers scored 41 points and hauled in 15 boards.

The Lights finish the season with an 18-13 overall record and just missed out on the NAIA National tournament.
