Every semester The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announces the NAIA scholar athletes. This award is given to athletes that exceed expectations in the classroom as well as their sport. This semester seven Lights and Skylights were given the award.
For the Skylights it was seniors Becky Melcher and Addi Kiefer.
For the Lights it was seniors Leon Sayers IV, Leo Sewell. Junior Cinque Maxwell, and a pair of sophomores in Jackson Nordboe and Jeffrey Tjelde.
To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 and have attended their institution for at least one full year.
