HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hi-Line Cruz’n Association will be hosting their 33rd annual Rod Run this weekend at the Great Northern Fairgrounds. Event Organizer Barb Salerno says registration will start Friday night from 5 to 9 PM and continue Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
“The car show itself goes from 11 to 2 and then from 2 to 4 it’s the Rod Run. And from 6 on, we have a pitchfork fondue for the registered cars and we do awards then.”
Salerno says this is one of the first runs of this season and people are eager to show off their cars.
“To a lot of people, it’s getting together with your friends for the first time over the wintertime and it’s a lot of camaraderie. We get a lot of people from Canada, a lot of people from the states. And it’s just to show off your car. Visit with old friends and make new friends.”
This years theme is “The Dirty Thirties” and people are encouraged to dress up during the dinner on Saturday night. A dance will be held that evening with Blind Luck performing. The event is free and open to the public. Registration for the show costs $50 per person or $60 for a couple.
