Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern’s head cross country and track coach, Deborah Callahan has announced the signing of Chinook Sugarbeeter Senior Neva Lowe.
Lowe’s best time in the 5,000 meters is 19:47. On the Track Lowe as a time of 2:37 in the 800metersr and has collected times of 5:35 in the 1600 and 12:07 in the 3200 meters races. She has earned state qualifications and placements in Track and Cross Country as a Sugarbeeter.
Neva was also a key contributor on the Chinook girls’ basketball team all four years. In her senior year on the hardwood Lowe recorded a school record for the most three pointers in a single game with 8.
Chinook Athletic director Brian Rayburn said, “She has been an outstanding contributor to our school, and community.”
Lowe held a 3.5 GPA and is the recipient of multiple All-State selections and academic awards. Neva is planning on studying integrated health sciences at MSU-Northern.
