Havre, MT – The Chinook Sugarbeeter boys and girls basketball teams ended their season at the district tournaments. The boys finished 7-7 in conference and the girls finished 4-10.
The Sugarbeeter boys were led by a pair of juniors in forward Jamison Nordboe and point guard Ryan Bell. For the second consecutive season Ryan Bell was selected to the All-Conference first team.
As a 6’4″ forward and leading rebounder for Chinook, Jamison Nordboe was selected to the All-Conference second team. Both Bell and Nordboe averaged close to 15 points per game in their junior campaign.
The Chinook girls were led by senior Neva Lowe and freshman Charley Nissen who were both named to the All-Conference second team.
In her senior season Lowe broke the school record for the most made 3-pointers in a single game with eight against Cut Bank. Lowe finished that game with 29 points.
Nissen was in a starting role for the Sugarbeeters in her freshman season.
