Havre, MT – Spring sports are in full swing at Havre High School with Blue Pony softball starting official practices this week.
Head Coach of the Blue Ponies, Tony Vigliotti, spoke to what the goals are during that first week of practice to build the foundation of the season.
“The first week will be spent on just fundamentals. picking up ground balls, catching fly balls getting swings in and doing everything the right way. we’ve got two weeks before we compete. The first week will be really just fundamentals then we’ll get that varsity group ready for game competition on the 28th.” Coach Vigliotti said.
The Blue Ponies return only two seniors. Havre will open up the season on March 28, against both East Helena and Dillion on the road at East Helena High School with first pitches set for noon and 2p.m.
