Northern Alumni Foundation is Searching for New Executive Director

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Recently, Executive Director of the Montana State University-Northern Alumni Foundation Executive Director Jim Bennett announced that he will be stepping down from his position next Friday for another opportunity. Bennett says he will take a position up with Northwest Farm Credit Services after nearly five years with the Foundation. He believes he’s done a good job in engaging their alumni.

“In that time I think a lot of great things have happened. Not only for the Foundation, but for Northern as well. And, you know, we’ve been able to successfully complete fundraising for the Diesel Technology Center. We’ve grown our scholarship endowment that the Foundation holds.”

Bennett says the Foundation is searching for a new Executive Director.

“There’s a search committee formed and there’s a posting out there. For people that are interested, you can actually find it at MSU-Northern’s HR website. And in the interim, we do have an Interim Executive Director, Amanda Meyer, who’s our CFO for our organization.”

Bennett hopes the Foundation will have hired a new Executive Director by the end of the summer. In the meantime, Amanda Meyer will be acting as Executive Director until a permanent one can be found.
