Havre, MT – Between two games on opening day and their third game of the season Havre High softball had over a week of practice to continue improving.
This week’s practices have been hampered by foul weather, but head coach Tony Vigliotti explains what they have been up to in preparation for Fergus come Tuesday afternoon.
“Well for us being young it’s just going to be work on the things we need to work on. Trying to get them game ready. Defensively staying a play ahead and offensively getting good swings, putting the ball in play and having productive at bats. We have some conference games coming up here in the next couple weeks and those are important, but we’ll just keep working on the things that we need to work on to get better every day.” Coach Vigliotti said.
The Blue Ponies will host the Fergus Golden Eagles on Tuesday at 5p.m. for their season home opener.
