Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Lights and Skylights Rodeo competed over the weekend in Miles City. The Skylights put up another strong performance to hold second place in the Big Sky Region once again and Talen Cummings and Chance ThreeIrons led the way for the Lights in team roping.
MSU-Northern Rodeo head coach, Doug Kellenberger broke down the rodeo and where his teams stand after the weekend.
“Talen and Chance did a good job in the team roping again, they were able hold down their number one spot. On the women’s side, Kada Dodginghorse did an excellent job for us in the barrel racing. She is going to hold her number one spot. Brooklin Baukol and Georgia Orahood helped get some points here and there. The women’s team were able to get second again and we’ll see how this next weekend ends.”
Northern Rodeo heads to Missoula this weekend for the final regular season competition of the 2026 spring season.
