Havre, MT – The Havre High Blue Pony Softball team went 2-1-1 over the weekend with wins over Corvallis (16-10), and Butte Central (13-7).
The Blue Ponies averaged just over nine runs between the four games and head coach Tony Vigliotti says his team is stepping up all over the field.
“I think the way that we swung the bats, there is ups and downs, but we got some production out of the bottom of our lineup. Mentally they stayed in each game. Defensively their thinking ahead and doing the right things for the most part and we swung the bats well and the pitchers threw well and that adds up to playing pretty good softball.” said Coach Vigliotti.
Havre is now 5-8-1 in the regular season and will host Glendive and Sidney this Friday and Saturday at 1 and 3p.m.
