Havre, MT – The Havre Northstars season is young as they gear up for the first road trip of the year.
The Northstars opened the season with a pair of losses to the Helena Reps but bounced back last week against Glasgow for a couple of victories. Now Havre is headed to battle the Helena AA team Sunday afternoon.
First year head coach of the Northstars Ben Mader says his team is still ironing things out on the field but will be ready come first pitch.
“The keys on Sunday are communication issues and situational awareness that we kind of ran into a couple bumps here and there last Sunday that put us a position we don’t really like to be but we are going to clean that up in practice this week. Obviously, this is going to be a pretty good challenge with Helena. It will be a really good test for us to see where we can stack up against a team like that.” said coach Mader.
First pitch of game one is set for 1p.m.
