Bear Paw Development Releases Annual Report

(HAVRE) – Bear Paw Development Corporation recently released its Annual Report for 2025. The multi-county nonprofit economic and community development organization, founded in 1969, serves Liberty, Hill, Blaine, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Rocky Boy’s and Fort Belknap Indian Reservations.

Overall, the organization coordinated more than $10 million in funding through grant writing, revolving loan fund investments and other sources for business start-ups and expansions and community enhancements, including local government infrastructure. Bear Paw also helped the private sector create or retain 50 jobs through business advising, technical assistance and business lending through their Small Business Development Center, Loan Department and Food and Agriculture Development Center.

The Annual Report also noted that for every $1 in local government funding invested in Bear Paw Development by counties, cities and towns in northern Montana, the organization leveraged an additional $94.21 from outside sources for quality projects in their Economic Development District.
