Havre, MT – Havre High Blue Pony girls’ basketball finished a historic season in March with a state championship and will have to reload the chamber for 2026/27.
The Blue Ponies claimed the Class A state tile over Billings Central (52-28) and ended the year with a 21-3 overall record. Havre lost three key starters including the teams top two scorers in Ariana Gary and Amaya Jarvis.
Blue Pony head coach Tommy Brown stated that reloading for the upcoming season will be a challenge they address this summer.
“We’ll have some kids returning and they’ll have to step into bigger roles so that will be a challenge for them and a challenge for our staff to help them to get ready for those roles when the time comes in the regular season.”
The Blue Ponies do return the other two starters in Katie Tilleman and Tahlyn Olsen. Bree Hanson, who spot started during Gary’s injury last season, will also return the program.
