(Havre) – Greg Kegel retires from his position as Chancellor at Montana State University – Northern on August 1at. Kegel has been affiliated with the University for over 50 years starting as a student. In an interview with New Media Broadcasters Kegel told us how a career in Higher Education was not the original career plan.
“I got into this whole thing to be a coach, and I found out after I got into it, the teacher education program, that the only way you could coach at the secondary level you had to be a teacher. So, you had to have a teaching degree. So, I got a teaching degree to be a coach.”
Last Week, Current MSU-Northern Provost Jennifer Brown was named the Interim MSU-Northern Chancellor for the 2026-27 school year starting on August 2nd.
