(Havre) – The Montana Secretary of State’s office has certified Initiative 194 for the general election ballot on November 3rd. Russ Cleveland, Executive Director of the The Montana Plan explains what I-194 if passed will do.
“It essentially changes state law banning corporations from participating in political spending and also banning what we call dark money from being used as qualified donations in political spending in the state no matter whether it’s a local fundraising effort or state or federal race, that would no longer be permitted in the state of Montana.”
The Montana Plan will be hosting a free community roundtable in Havre on Monday night from 6:30 until 8pm in the community center at the Great Northern Fairgrounds.
