Havre, MT – The Havre High Blue Ponies began their season at the Prairie Farms Golf Course for the Havre Invite. NMB Sports caught up with Head Coach Dennis Murphy to hear his thoughts on how his team performed for their first official meet of the year.
“I am pleased with how we played today. We are very young and inexperienced, of the eight players who played varsity today, it was five of their first varsity meet,” said Coach Murphy.
“Evan shooting a 78 the first meet out is a great start for him and Rayalyn shooting a 99 is a great start for her looking forward to tomorrow and for the rest of the season as I know, we’re going to see a tremendous amount of improvement.”
