(Havre) – The Havre City Council will meet at 7pm, Tuesday at City Hall. There meeting features a packed agenda.
First the council will discuss a resolution assessing a special property tax assessment for landowners who fail to pay a reasonable charge for nuisance weed control.
Next the council will approve the Mayor’s August board appointments, and then they will approve a couple of draws for the City of Havre Water Project and the Montana Main Street Program. Finally, they will hear a request from the Havre Chamber of Commerce for a street closure during the Tribute Band event during Festival Days on Saturday September 19th.
The meeting will then shift to a public budget hearing on the City of Havre Fiscal Year 2027 budget. After the budget hearing the meeting will be recessed until Wednesday September 2nd, for final budget approval. That meeting begins at 6pm.
