GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – On Monday, a California man pled guilty in U.S District Court in Great
Falls to dealing methamphetamine in Havre, Great Falls and the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation.
Roel Centeno, 44, of Oxnard, CA., appeared before U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris and plead guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Court documents state that law enforcement agents learned Centeno had arranged shipments of meth to recipients in Havre, Great Falls and the Rocky Boy’s Reservation from June 2017 to March 2018. Those recipients broke down the meth to be distributed locally. Agents interviewed numerous people who had received the drug from Centeno.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica Betley is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by Great Falls Police and Homeland Security Investigations.
Centeno faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, a $1 million dollar fine and three years of supervised release. Centeno remains in custody until sentencing on October 16.
