HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) announced the creation of a new online platform Wednesday, March 25.
The platform entitled AARP Community Connections will allow users to locate or organize volunteer groups that will help anyone with anything from grocery deliver to financial or emotional assistance.
Senior Vice President of AARP Innovation Labs Andy Miller said, “Through this innovative platform, people in need of help from – or who want to offer help to – their communities are empowered to engage.”
The platform also provides resources for those feeling isolated, anxious or depressed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miller said, “We may be physically isolated, but we don’t have to feel alone.”
