BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Highway Patrol reports that a 17-year-old teenage girl from Billings was killed in a single vehicle crash early Thursday morning.
The crash occurred at 3:18 AM at mile marker 451 of I-90 East, when a 1993 Mercedes sedan drifted off the road to the left when negotiating a righthand curve. The driver then overcorrected, putting the vehicle in a skid, causing it to roll.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. She was the only occupant in the vehicle. Drugs and alcohol are both suspected factors in the crash.
The road was dry.
