(Casper, Wyoming) Montana State University Northern’s Preston Bird of Cut Bank and Chance Three Irons of Lodge Grass finally hit the dirt in the arena at the College National Finals Rodeo on Monday in the team roping competition and recorded a 7.9. The effort puts them in the top 15 after the first go round.
Over 400 cowboys and cowgirls from over 100 universities and colleges compete in Casper each year. Contestants compete all year in one of the NIRA’s 11 regions for a chance to rope or ride at the CNFR.
The College National Finals Rodeo continues through June 21st.
