Havre, MT – After going 2-1 at the divisional tournament Havre High Blue Pony girls basketball will make the trip to Great Falls for the State tournament on Thursday night.
The Blue Ponies are the two seed out of the eastern division after their loss to Billings Central. Havre head coach, Tommy Brown, said that he liked the way his team played at the divisional tournament.
“I thought they played incredibly hard. I thought in that semifinal and championship game we defended very well. You know had a couple breakdowns which ended up being a big difference in the central game, but I thought our kids were really focused on that end of things and fought incredibly hard to put us in position to win those games.” Coach brown said.
The Blue Ponies will play in the second to last game of the night on Thursday at 6:30p.m. against the three seed out of the west in Whitefish.
