(NMB) The Havre Blue Pony Boys basketball and football programs are working together for their respective camps this year. The Basketball and football camps will run Monday and Tuesday July 11th and 12th. Football camp for first through 4th grades will run from 9am to 11am each day while basketball camp will be Noon unitl 2pm. The 5th through eighth grade football camp will be noon to 2 each day with basketball camp from 3pm until 5pm. Pony Basketball coach Waylon Burgess says kids can sign up for one or both camps. “On the day of the camp we will be at the High School, either out at the track or in the gym and they can get signed up. They don’t have to do both. If they want to do football only or want to do basketball that’s ok too, we’re just trying to do something together to try and get it all being part of a Blue Pony family.”
Head Blue Pony Football coach Jake Eldridge says the camps will focus on fun and fundamentals.
“Your younger kids it’s just going to be having fun and learning the basics of the game and getting around the kids. You know the older kids is going to be a little more intensive and fundamentals are going to be a lot more specific especially for those middle school age kids. There will be some competitions with those older kids.”
The Blue Pony Boys basketball and football camps will run Monday and Tuesday July 11th and 12th at Havre High School.
